But we think that this is a still a good case study for the use of referral marketing. PFP Energy was on a mission to be more than just a supplier of affordable energy, they were also a not-for-profit that took good care of their customers’ communities. In fact, that’s why PFP stood for ‘Profit for Purpose’! Being owned by the not-for-profit UK Housing Association meant PFP could focus on the important stuff, like supporting local communities and investing money and allocating resources where they’re needed most. And they did all this by supplying affordable gas and electricity to the homes of their customers. They worked hard to keep costs down so that their customers could enjoy the same savings. And, by keeping their customers up-to-date on their energy usage, they helped them become smarter energy consumers. And they held true to their core values of being helpful, clear, honest, friendly and fair. So what was not to love about such a devoted, customer-focused energy provider like PFP? Well, that’s exactly the point of why they decided to launch a referral programme powered by Buyapowa. The referral programme ler PFP Energy customers refer the energy supplier to their friends and family, so they too could enjoy affordable energy while investing in their community.
