BuyaPowa is a community of shoppers brought together by a desire for products at better prices. No longer will you be limited to the products and prices you find on the shelf.

We bring shoppers together, grouping them into a single transaction so they can access the same kind of bulk-buy discounts previously only available to retailers.

Introducing Co-buying

Co-buying is a brand new form of online shopping that harnesses the collective buying power of shoppers. By bringing individual shoppers together BuyaPowa can broker deals directly with the brand and manufacturers. As the number of buyers in each co-buy increases so does the discount. The price keeps falling as more people join; and the buyer that brings in the most other buyers could get their product for free.

It is a disruption of the traditional buying model, turning ‘supply and demand’ upside down and empowering savvy shoppers to demand wholesale prices – ‘demand and supply’.

Responding to Requests

We source our co-buys based on requests from the BuyaPowa community. You can nominate products you want to co-buy, or vote on others requests from the rest of the community. Once we capture enough interest we’ll do a deal with the brand and set up a co-buy.

We also love sourcing hard-to-find products. So, a product that’s currently only available in Japan or the US - but in high demand in the UK - can be offered at BuyaPowa at a nice discount before traditional retailers can offer it at all.

The Founder

BuyaPowa was founded by Gideon Lask, a life long consumer and experienced e-commerce guy.

He believes that for too long retailers have had all the power – BuyaPowa gives it back to shoppers by empowering them to get together and co-buy to achieve the very best prices. Retailers are able to bulk buy products at considerable discount, and until now consumers have been expected to pay full price. With more people buying online and brands increasingly comfortable selling direct, we really are taking the traditional model of retailing head on.

We all want to do what eBay did for auctions, and to put the power back into the hands of the shopper.

We think BuyaPowa represents a win for everyone. Shoppers save money on the products they most want and brands have a new and exciting way to engage directly with their customers using the channels they love.
